Craig has now been in Moorcroft five and a half months. A few weeks ago Elder Smith was transferred to Fargo to be a zone leader. Craig's new companion is Elder Bair. He is from Idaho and I think that is him in the picture of the couple that is getting baptized. Craig survived the very cold winter. I think Craig continues to be blessed because he was in the warmest part of his mission for the whole winter and people commented all winter that it never got as cold as it usually does! Craig struggles with sleep problems but we think he has some medication that is helping with that and hopefully spring will also help his sleep cycles. He also has struggled with back and shoulder pain. We bought him a different kind of back pack and are hopeful that will help him. Overall his spirits are good. He is feeling more like a missionary all the time. Even though it is such a small town they continue to teach people and have had a few baptisms! We are thrilled he has passed his 6 month mark and in a couple weeks he will have one third of his mission behind him. We received another email a couple weeks ago from some members that are very impressed with him and touched by his story. We, of course, think he is very special and are very proud of the work he is doing. It is certainly difficult for him, probably more so then most, but he has a love and determination that is seeing him through. His address has not changed and your continued support is appreciated by him... us too!!! =]

This is Craig's new District in Moorcroft, Wy. His companion, Elder Smith, and he are on the bottom right. (Scroll down to update for his current address.)

Craig served in Casper until November 9th when he was transferred to Moorcroft, Wy. On October 24th, they baptized 3 people and on November 7th, they baptized one more and Craig had the priviledge of doing the baptism. While serving in Casper we had many people contacting us via phone calls, emails, text messages, and text pictures. They all wanted to tell us how much they loved and appreciated Craig and they wanted to thank us for sharing him with them. It was comforting to us to know he was being taken care of! Moorcroft is a very small town - population 807! They opened this area and cover two small branches. They do lots of service there as well as teaching. It is very cold there and they get tell him it doesn't snow much there because it is too cold. His new address is:

Craig is in Casper, Wyoming. He likes his companions, Elder Owens & Elder Pugmirer. They are zone leaders and they drive a car which is good because it snowed the first day he got there. It is already very cold there!! I got a picture text today from someone I don't know. I opened it to see Craig! It is our first missionary picture of him. It was so good to see him after a month and 2 days! I sent a thank you message and asked who they were. They replied back and thanked us for sharing him with them and said he is such a great person! That, of course, brought several tears to my eyes!!! Fasting for him brings interesting blessings!!!! Smile His current address is: 2401 Grandview Place 17, Casper, Wyoming 82604. Or, you can always send a letter to the mission home.

Craig is flying to Rapid City tomorrow (9/28). He will be there for a day or two before being sent to his first area. We are very excited to see where he winds up. Missionaries are allowed to call home from the airport so we are hoping for a phone call from him. Craig only told us that he leaving on Monday - he forgot to say what time. Guess we will be waiting by the phone. The MTC went pretty well. He really liked his companion, Elder Tippetts, and his district. They were able to go to the temple a couple of times too. He celebrated his 20th birthday there. We sent 2 dozen Tasty's donuts of which he said he got about a half of one. Donuts don't last long there. Apparently newspaper sport sections don't either. All in all Craig sounds in good spirits and is ready to get out in the field. He has said in a couple letters that he has taken lots of pics but we have not seen them yet. Maybe soon we will post some. Thanks to all who wrote him while he was there. His mission home address is:
