Craig is your typical teenage
guy. He loves sports, cars, and his friends. What makes him so special is the ablility he has to make everyone around
him fall in love with him. Whether it's on purpose or not, it happens. He's full of life and loves to cheer everyone
else up. At our home, we've always labeled him the "Peacemaker". He enjoys going the extra mile to make others
around him happy. He's truly an amazing son, brother, and friend.
Craig grew up playing
just about every sport out there. He's been a great soccer, baseball, and basketball player, and his passion now is football.
After four years of city ball, where he was a team Captain and Quarterback, he played a year on the Northridge Sophomore
team and is now part of Layton High's football team. He trained all summer to be the JV quarterback, did very well, and earned
that position.
Other things Craig loves to
do are fishing, hiking, camping and all that outdoors stuff. He recently jumped off a 15 foot cliff, naked,
into the freezing Notch Lake. He's been part of the Priest Quorum this last year and received his Eagle Scout
Award. Craig, along with the rest of our family is a active University of Utah fan. He goes all out for the games...
which includes painting almost his entire body, and refuses to be friends with BYU fans (just kidding). He's had his
drivers license this last year which has been quite the adventure, but he only brought home one speeding ticket (so far).
Craig has many friends, more
than we ever realized. When they all get together crazy things tend to happen, but the stories are always very entertaining
to say the least. What a great blessing it is that he has so many good friends that will be there to help him get through
this challenge in his life.
Craig suprised our entire
family this last summer by bringing home a duck that he'd bought from a pet store. We couldn't make him take
it back, it really was very cute. His name is Bongo and he'd bought it a little pool for it to live in in our backyard.
A month later or so when we went to Hawaii and Craig was left home alone for football, the ducks doubled. We came
home and were introduced to Bongo's new girlfriend, Bonga. Still, too cute to take away from him. Both ducks
are currently living on the farm where Craig got them and we'll get them back eventually. (We also found out
that both ducks are boys, we will wait awhile to break the news to Craig).
Craig's personality
is the best thing about him and it is extremely missed. We can't wait to get him better so we can all feel his energy
again.
