As we completed the two year anniversary of Craig's accident last week, more than anything we feel continued
gratitude to God and all those that have played a part in his recovery. Lori and Craig were able to visit the hospital
and saw many of those who were with us during those first few weeks. Thanks again to everyone that has been involved with
our family during this time.
It has been a really good summer. Craig did well on the Trek trip to Wyoming
and out-performed me on the mountain bike trip. The bike trip was interesting, Craig struggled during the downhill parts
that required a lot of rapid manuevering, but did really well on the more strenuous uphill parts of the trip. He is continuing
to work out and is now benching 175 lbs.
His social network is expanding and he has been really active this
summer with a lot of daily activities. He is currently an assistant coach with a Layton City league football team
(7-8 year olds), and is really enjoying that. Next week, school starts again and he will be completing his Senior year at
Layton High. He will be the Senior Class rep for Key Club and is serving as a Young Men's leader at church as well.
One of the things we have learned in this process is that you don't plan too far ahead, but at this point Craig
is on track to graduate and move on with the goals he has set for himself in life.
