| Craig passed his
Eagle Scout board of review this week, and we can now schedule a court of honor for him to receive his Eagle award. It was
great to hear him tell the scout people about his memories of campouts, leaders, and other activities he was involved in.
He also got his glasses this week and is very happy to be seeing again. The eye doctor found some studies which showed that
his eye sight may not return to normal on its own, so corrective action is probably the right approach at this point. We spent
some time playing basketball this afternoon, and while he is still improving physically, his running is causing a great deal
of frustration. The problem seems to be with his right achilles tendon, which is so tight that it won't let his right
foot bend normally. He says that he feels like he is running with a brick tied to his right shoe. |

One thing I forgot to mention
last week, Craig and Lori had the opportunity to meet with the paramedics that responded to his accident. While Craig had
a great time, Mom got a little emotional. I posted a picture above of Craig with these fine gentlemen. They shared the fact
that despite their best efforts, they did not think he was going to make it. They also said that they had never driven the
ambulance so fast. Craig was really tired yesterday, and is looking forward to a couple of days off of school. He is
scheduled for his Eagle Scout board of review on Tuesday. This is the final step of approval to getting his Eagle Scout award. | |
