| With school comes
homework. Craig has not been real excited about studying and doing homework, and we are having to push him a bit. He has also
been somewhat depressed lately about his situation and we are having to work hard to keep things positive. He saw the eye
doctor again today and made the observation that when they dilate his eyes, his vision improves dramatically. The doctor
explained that this is because when the pupils are dilated the eyes focus by themselves instead of using the brain(?). This
confirms that the problem is with the brain and not with the eyes themselves. The vision improvement lasts for about 3-hours
and then the blurriness returns. Craig asked if he could take the drops used for dilation with him, and the doctor agreed,
with some stipulations. He can only dilate once a day and should probably take weekends off. So, Craig now has the ability
to see clearly for 3-hours a day! |
