Craig went back to visit at the hospital this week and really enjoyed seeing everyone there. The doctors and nurses in
ICU continue to be amazed. He had a good week with therapy and workouts, and we are still seeing small improvements in
many areas. Thanks to all of the friends that keep coming over and are keeping him motivated. I keep thinking that
at some point he will start to resist the intense physical schedule that he is on, but so far he has responded well to everything
he has been asked to do. We are pushing him about as hard as we can, knowing that many of his challenges are simply going
to get better with time. Fortunately, time is one thing we have. We are planning to meet with the High School counselors after
Christmas and see what our options are for the remainder of the school year. To even be doing that at this point seems incredible,
and is an indication of how far he has come.

The doctor's have agreed to start reducing the medications that Craig is on, and we are hopeful that this will help
his eyesight. He is on 4 pretty potent drugs, and they want to reduce them slowly, one at a time. So, it may take a while
to find out. We are also seeing a strange thing with his appetite. For the last 2-weeks, all he wants to eat is Arby's
roast beef sandwiches. Tonight we finally said no, and he wouldn't eat anything else for dinner. We told him
that he would just have to be hungry. He started texting on his phone, and about 20-minutes later one of his friends
showed up at the house....... with Arby's! Points for creativity I guess. He is also binging on unusual things.
You know those big chocolate chunk cookies? The other night he ate 7. Last night, at our family Christmas party we had to
hide the Krispy Kreme donuts after he downed 4 or 5 straight. I think he would have eaten the whole box. I guess since he
still needs to gain weight this is OK for now, but we certainly don't want to see him explode.

Craig had a good weekend. He came to church again today, although he claims he does not like all of the attention he gets
when there. We let him go to a get together this afternoon at a friends house with some of his football friends. It was difficult
for us to have him out of our supervision, even for a short time! He did fine, and I guess we are going to have to start to
let go a little. He is still insisting that he wants his duck back for Christmas. I hope he is not too disappointed when it
doesn't happen. PS: Any of you that he is trying to conspire with to get the duck back better not help him out.
