Craig is working hard and still progressing nicely. Yesterday, he did his full 3-hours of out-patient therapy, additional sight therapy at home, walked a mile at the school, worked out on the elliptical machine, and did additional hand/eye work. He is working hard, although sometimes his mandated activities seem like the teenage dream. For example, some of his daily goals are to get plenty of sleep, eat lots of high fat food, play foosball and video games, lift weights, walk, text and call friends, and finish each day in the hot tub. Whatever it takes!

This journey just keeps getting more interesting. First off, Craig's vision has improved a lot over the last 2-days. Thanks to all for your continued prayers. Craig has reached a point where he wants to be one of the decision makers in the medical and therapy related choices that are being made. I guess he has this right, and while we certainly want him to be on board with the choices that are made, there are times when we disagree. Generally, he feels that he needs less professional care and therapy than we do. The next couple of weeks could be very interesting!

Changing therapists is tough. Craig went to his first outpatient treatment today and worked with the new group. In addition to the scheduling, insurance issues, etc., you have to get used to a new group of personalities. I'm sure we will be OK with some time. This afternoon we went up to the high school and walked a mile on the track. It was interesting that as we walked, memories from this summer began to open up. The missing pieces of the summer are suddenly coming back to him. He also worked out at home today, so overally a pretty heavy day for PT. Tomorrow is a welcome day off from any appointments. Craig's friends are playing a bigger role now, as we hoped they would, but it is surprising how hard it is to let go. When we are not with him we tend to get very anxious. It is going to be an interesting transition going forward.

Thanks to everyone who came over tonight to celebrate Craig's homecoming. We had a great time and really enjoyed seeing everyone. Craig had a long day, 3-hours at church and then 4-hours of non-stop social interaction. He seemed fine afterwards and talked about how fun it was to see everybody again. Thanks to all for your continued support.
